Titan Garages and Sheds was established in 1991 and has grown to be one of the largest and most successful steel building manufacturers in Queensland.

Titan Garages and Sheds has been a valued client of Salesmasters for over 25 years. During this time, we have helped develop their sales processes and conducted ongoing sales training and development for their sales team.

The Challenge

At the end of 2022, Titan approached us to resolve a pressing sales challenge for them – retaining salespeople.

With a tedious onboarding process due to the complexity of the product and the legal and local government obligations that come with installing a shed or garage on a property, salespeople were becoming overwhelmed, and there was a high turnover in the sales team.

The Solution

To simplify the complex, we re-engineered the sales process and created an induction and onboarding system specific to what a salesperson needed to know and understand. Every salesperson receives a sales playbook with all the tips, tricks, and tools a sales professional at Titan needs to succeed.

The system, which took four months to create, has been done as an interactive PDF with an accompanying library of training videos, allowing the sales team to take responsibility for their own development and access relevant information and training quickly and easily.

The Results

  • A straightforward onboarding and sales system that is an asset to the business and ensures consistency and confidence across the 17-strong sales team.
  • New sales recruits are up to speed in half of the time – 180 days.
  • The sales manager can focus on managing and developing the team instead of resolving issues.
  • A business-specific library of over 20 tailored sales training videos covering everything from what to say to a walk-in to managing objections and closing.
